HHS Seeks Public Input on Wireless Radiation and Health
Patricia Burke for Safe Tech International has just reported on 18 September that the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a formal request for information on electromagnetic fields (EMFs), radiofrequency radiation, wireless radiation exposure and human health. Importantly, HHS is asking to hear directly from individuals and families who have experienced potential adverse health effects, as well as healthcare professionals, researchers, organizations, and other members of the public. Verizon Cuts Off 1 million Customers by Christmas
In her Substack, Patricia Burke for Safe Tech International exposes how Verizon plans to cut off 1 million customers by Christmas. The statement reads as follows: Verizon seeks authority to discontinue plain old telephone service (“POTS”) served by time-division multiplexing (“TDM”) technology over copper in portions of California, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Save Copper Landlines
In the UK, a petition to keep copper analogue landlines was created by Gillian Jamieson, who encourages readers to sign and share. This petition aims to halt the copper landline switch-off in all areas – the deadline is 29 January 2027. Copper-based landlines are lifelines and are least likely to fail during a power outage caused by weather events, cyber attacks, or power cuts. Battery or mobile back-up is not enough. Vulnerable people, as well as those with electrohypersensitivity or who want to avoid wireless radiation, and those who need simple, reliable equipment need their copper landline.
Children Need Protection from Wireless Radiation Exposure
The ICBE-EMF calls for urgent action to protect children’s health from harmful electromagnetic field (EMF) exposures from cell phones, cell towers, power lines and harmful non-ionizing radiation. The International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (ICBE-EMF), is an independent consortium of scientists, physicians, engineers, and public health experts. The ICBE-EMF released a scientific position statement that highlights the dangers of EMFs and current exposure limits on children. They have published extensive peer-reviewed studies on the biological effects of non-ionizing EMFs, including radiofrequency radiation from wireless technologies, and extremely low frequency (ELF-EMF) electric and magnetic fields from electric grid infrastructure. The consortium issued a 23-page statement, which cited over 100 published scientific studies documenting how EMFs at levels currently allowed by the FCC can harm human health. Meta Has Access to Children’s Data Despite $17.1 Bn Fine
Just last month, Meta agreed to pay up to $17.1 billion in penalties over the next 10 years, one of the largest settlements in American history. The company admitted it intentionally designed Facebook and Instagram to addict children and teenagers. Meta had also agreed to implement changes on its platforms for young users, such as daily time limits, restrictions during school hours, and ways to limit scrolling. However, the agreement did not restrict Meta from continuing to collect data from young users and using the data to sell targeted adverts. In other words, while certain safeguarding changes were met, it succeeded in protecting its surveillance-based business model. Read here on the CHD website.
Generation Zapped Trailer
Generation Zapped is an eye-opening documentary about the serious health risks posed by wireless technology, including infertility and cancer. The film includes interviews with experts in science and public health, as well as individuals who suffer from electrohypersensitivity (see EMR-S). Ways people can protect themselves and reduce their exposure are provided. This short trailer begins with the shocking statistic that the amount of radiation penetrating our bodies compared to 10 years ago is a quintillion times more (that is 1 with 18 zeros)! France, one of the first adopters of Wi-Fi, is recognizing the harm to schoolchildren, and they are removing it from primary schools. The cumulative radiation we receive, especially children, is enormous. RFR is cancer causing and contributes to neurological disorders, cognitive and developmental problems. Appropriately funded, independent research is lacking. Wired earphones and devices are key to minimizing harms from wireless RFR.
